Dear Tom,
The deck is laminated to the hull with 3 layers of 2 oz mat, 3″ on the hull and 3″ on the deck. The space between the top of the hull and the up stand of the deck is resin filled with no doubt some filler where the space is greater. The outer teak rail and teak rail cap are screw fastened and dowelled but are not structural.

It may be no help but the 38 mast is identical to the Nicholson 32 of which there are quite a number about.Yours Jeremy Lines.

I will be delighted to see you there if you are around on Friday 18th. You probably know that the 32 Association have a 32 there also. Yours JeremyDecember 2, 2012 at 16:16 #12711ArchivistParticipantDear Chris,
Delighted to see your entry on the website. As Archivist for Camper & Nicholsons I try to keep track of our yachts. I last heard from PETER PAN in 2005 when she was owned by Mrs Proctor, did you buy her from her?
You would be very welcome in Gosport!
Best regards, Jeremy Lines.May 21, 2012 at 19:24 #11661ArchivistParticipantDear Federico,
I was delighted to hear from you as I try to keep a record of all of our yachts. I was responsible for all these yachts when they were built but I retired in 1990. As you may know we built this yacht for Dr Nelson Papa in 1971 but regret I last heard from him in 1977 so would be delighted if you could update me on her history. I would also hope I may be able to help if you have any technical questions.
Best regards, Jeremy.

I have another note that it might have been No 67 originally SAMMY BOY but would be very interested to hear more. The Kammlers were good friends. Jeremy.

Good to hear from you. GREY WOLF is actually Hull No 76. Our Yard No 1050. Official No. 340799. Sail No 1467Y. She was built in 1971 for Mr C.F. Ackerman who still had her in 1976 but by 1980 she was owned by Carolyn Adam. May I ask if you bought her from her?Best regards, Jeremy Lines.

She was called SOLENT ARCTURUS was British Registered No 362825. Between 2000 and 2004 and maybe earlier and later she was called RICHARD LANGHORN and based in Portsmouth. I think she was used to take disadvantaged children out sailing by the Richard Langhorn Trust. I would be delighted to hear from Roy Abrams.

February 21, 2011 at 09:37 #8781ArchivistParticipantCamping GAZ in the blue bottles is butane as is the normal Calor Gas and will freeze quite easily. Propane I believe is normally in red bottles and freezes at a much lower temperature but BOTH are heavier than air. Air 1,2, Propane1.8, Dutane2.5. Jeremy Lines.
February 17, 2011 at 09:51 #8671ArchivistParticipantDear Peter,
I hope this gets to. If you can tell me a bit more I hope to be able to advise you. Is there a gap of 20mm or is it a depression?. It sounds as though the stiffening under the mizzen and/or the bulkheads aft have failed.Yours Jeremy.
