Thanks Marilyn! Excited to start my journey on my new boat 🤙

I’ll be based in Cornwall hopefully, for a winter refit if anyone else is in that area…

    Thanks,

    Brock

    Welcome Brock.

We are on our second year now with Jean Clair.  I’ve just finished replacing a load of wiring and upgrading to a Victron electrical system and replaced the autopilot, fitting a B&G Nac along with the remote which I highly recommend !!  I’m going on my second sole trip later today and the remote autopilot is a game changer.
What work are you planning for Kestra ?

    Sounds great!

I’m also looking to improve the electrical system with victory and more solar, did you go for a Quattro by any chance?

So I’m replacing all through hull fittings, for a more serviceable system… looking into seaseal for all seacocks and have a uniform arrangement. Portlights service and potentially replaced, windlass might be leaking, chain plates servicing and various other works, but hope the list stops there.

One of my favorite upgrades we made to Rainshadow was to replace certain portlights with opening ones – the one above the galley, the one in the head were really good choices. We also replaced the starboard portlight in the aft cabin – but that one gets used less often.

We made a posting about it on our personal blog: svrainshadow.com
