I have a 4108, and it has a temperature sensor just aft of the heat exchanger, with what looks like a mechanical connection of springy coiled wire with a center wire which connects to the top of the sensor itself.

During a recent trip I noticed the gauge showed zero temperature, no sign of overheating, but the connection had parted from the sensor.
There is no way it can be reconnected from what I can see, as it parted level with the end.

Has anyone else had this type of connector and sensor which I think must be matched to the gauge, or aware of any mods to replace what is an elderly type of connection.

Fixed it, the old one is a mechanical connection, works like a thermocouple, a replacement has 5m of cable so went for a new sensor and matching resistance gauge from ASAP, excellent service and not to many beer tokens spent.
