Murray joins us from Nova Scotia. He found Keneskoonech at the La Have Yatch Club, but will be moving her to Dartmouth Nova Scotia this spring. He tells me she needs some TLC, but sounds keen to offer it.

Keneskoonech is the MicMac Indian name for sword fish

Welcome to the forum, Murray. We look forward to learning more about Keneskoonech.

    Hello Marilyn

    I haven’t been keeping up with Nicholson38.org.

Having had the Keneskoonech for 10 months, I realize you spell boat with 2 t’s  – bring out another ten thousand.  I am pleased with my purchase but also concur with other owners that switched out the keyed ignition for a push button as I also lost a starter motor but replaced it with a new starter.  Instead of Perkins parts, I have found Massey Ferguson (tractor) parts more readily available and less expensive in Canada and the U.S.A..  I never thought of bi-metal electrolysis when I reconditioned all my windows while using s/s bolts so I have work next spring insulating the s/s but at least I fixed the leaky windows before any structural damage occurred and replaced the vinyl on the interior bulkheads.

I thank the contributors on the mizzen sagging  posts – I have a minor deflection their suggestions will correct.

    Wishing all smooth sailing.

    Murray
