Just a thought: has anyone used a hank-on storm jib on the second [non-furling genoa] forestay? Some mariners say the furling genoa is the wrong shape if only 10% is out [ie too much area ‘up-top’] in a blow.
Equally, has anyone any experience of using just 10% genny say – as a storm sail [if for example the engine failed on a lee shore in a bad blow and the sails were the only escape]. Or any other heavy weather tips?
