Aloha friends, I hope you are all safe and well. We are “hunkered down” at our home on the Big Island of Hawaii, where there are not many cases (but growing….). We rarely get to Hilo, where Rainshadow is docked. But she seems safe for the moment.
As you probably know, Marilyn is the “Moderator” for the Nic 38 forum, and she is great about helping people create new accounts, and keeping things going with her occasional summaries.
You may not know that she is also an author, and has written a book on sailing between Puget Sound (Seattle) and Alaska (Glacier Bay), called “Taken by the Wind: The Northwest Coast”.
I’m happy to say that in this month’s “Sail” magazine (mostly focused on North American sailors), she has an article on sailing the Inside Passage from Puget Sound to Alaska. It’s a nice article and they gave her six pages!
If you have the chance to read her article, I hope it inspires you to dream about future passages, even to the cold waters of Alaska.
