This posting is out of date. See the newer information here.
Jeremy Lines, the volunteer Camper & Nicholsons archivist (and former C&N designer that worked on the Nic 38) has prepared an excellent CD that contains:
– a searchable copy of the original Nicholson 38 handbook/manual, included updates that Jeremy added while retyping into an electronic form (available as PDF and DOC file)
– scanned copies of about 30 original drawings, such as sail plans, docking plans, general arrangement, hull and deck construction (available as TIF files)This is valuable information for any of us that own one of these classic sailing vessels.
Effective February 2018, to obtain a copy of the CD, please email Enrico Zaccagni: enrico.zaccagni@cnyachting.com
Jeremy, who previously managed mailing the CD, sent me an email in February 2018 saying the following:
I have to ask you if you can modify the website as C&N Yachting who own the Archives are keen to put this on a more commercial basis in order that this may continue. A good friend of mine Enrico Zaccagni has been asked to operate this so requests for drawings or Archive material should be addressed to him who will advise the cost. I will continue to offer advice and hopefully to update the Owners List.
Hence, I modified this posting to show how to obtain the CD directly from C&N Yachting.
Thanks to Jeremy for everything he has done for owners of classic Nicholson yachts – we benefit greatly from his efforts and support.

August 31, 2010 at 07:45 #7021AdminKeymasterI’ve the user manuals for just about all the non-C&N accessories on my Nic38 (Hornet 4 for example). Many of them date back to the original commissioning of the vessel. I’ve an 18 inch pile of assorted paperwork.
Let me know if you have something which needs a manual – I might have it on Harlequin of Kerrera. Its easy enough to photo or scan most documents.

On Rainshadow, we also have many original manuals, sans the Mathway one. For example, we have the Nico autopilot manual. So we also offer to scan manuals if someone needs one.

September 4, 2010 at 17:36 #7111ModeratorKeymasterThanks for the suggestion, Jeremy. I tried emailing them a few months ago, and they did not respond. But if at first you don’t succeed, try try again.
December 17, 2019 at 19:53 #26652Jonathan CarrParticipantI wondered if anyone would be able to supply a copy of the documentation CD?
I have emailed enrico a couple of times but have not received a reply.
