    Rainshadow sailed us along the Washington, British Columbia and Southeast Alaska coasts for 6 years. We learned a lot along the way, including what a tough boat she is.

    So after we made a passage to Hawaii in 2016, I decided it was time to write down all my local northwest knowledge in a reference book called Taken By the Wind: The Northwest Coast.

    You can find this book available at many online retailers, including Amazon.

    I hope anyone who cruises the area will find it a useful reference for sailing this tricky coast.

    Hi Marylin,

     

    We will keep an eye out for your publication. On oureflection “bucket list,” is a cruise through the North West Passage, seeing as global warming is facilitating this possibility!
