not sure if this is the right place for this topic but has anyone had to replace the deck light lamp. It looks like it came from an antique Brit. motor bike!
It has 2 screws/bolts entering the top of the housing which also holds the lamp housing in place behind the halyard guard. I am able to easily remove the outer rubber gasket but from there…………………….

I think we had the same light originally, and I did find a replacement bulb. It is GE 14555. You can find it available online from various sellers for less than US$10.
As to how to install it, cannot answer that because I think our fixture already lost its gasket, or something. We did the replace the bulb in that fixture once. As I recall, the bulb had to be “glued” in place with some caulk or something. It was all pretty funky and not really waterproof, so it burned out again next season.
Next time you pull the mast down and can do some rewiring, consider whether you want to keep that funky fixture.
We pulled out that deck light, as well as the steaming light and replaced both with a new combo steaming/spreader light – Aqua Signal Series 25 (pn 25404). That uses a 10W festoon for steaming and 20W festoon for deck level. We figured while steaming power consumption is not an issue, and if you want the deck light on, it should be bright – hence we avoided the more power-friendly LED choices.

Good day All,
Again attempted to replace the forward deck light lamp and again without success.
Firstly unscrewed the 2 top slotted screws which didn’t seem to help at all
Having removed the rubber gasket find that the lamp face is flush with lamp outer cowling and there appears to be no access to obtain leverage to prise out the lamp.
Even though there has to be something like an outer ‘screw on’ ring to hold the lamp in place could not find any joint on the circumference of the cowling.
Where do we go from there??????
Does anyone have any information on the manufacturer’s name.
Any assistance much appreciated.
