Just wanted to pass on an idea that we are pleased with – a wall mounted galley faucet, rather than the countertop mounted style. (We actually stole this idea from a photo of another Nic 38 galley). Check out how we did it: Having the wall mounted faucet leaves more room on the countertop, and gets the water source higher so that its easier to slip tall items under the water flow. There is room behind the galley bulkhead to run the plumbing. This new faucet is installed on a piece of plywood that is mounted in front of the original galley wall. This also means we have the original faucet parts and pieces available to anyone who might need a replacement knob, or one of those custom tailpieces. If you still have the original faucet and want some spare parts, let me know and I’ll see if we still have what you need. |

The new tap positioning looks good, well done, certainly more welcome room in that area. |
