“VANIKORO” for sale

“Vanikoro” is the number 3 of the serie.
She was, according to Jeremy LINES, the C&N Shipyard Archivist, the “demonstrator” of the new 38′ ketch during winter 1967.
So she has some supplementary details not continued after: “I.Proctor” masts and riggings, aluminium cockpit frames with securit glass windows, original accomodations plan (more suitable at sea), a lot of sails maded by Ratsey and Lapthorn, for ex.. But this Nic 38 of the beginning was badly equipped with a Parson gearbox which needed a very slow diesel motor (500 RPM max.)while the 4107 Perkins needs a minimum of 700 RPM to run correctly!
On “Vanikoro”, this default ( difficulties to reverse..) was definitivly corrected in 2004 by remotorisation with a VOLVO D-2 55HP with the Hurth gearbox of the make, with all exhaust, G.O.and electric accessories new.
“Vanikoro” is presently equipped for long passages ( “journey” sails by Annie Girard-La Rochelle, Furlex 300-Selden-genoa furling system, Frigoboat frig. with external heat exchanger,high flow bilge pump on diesel motor,steering and propeller shafts,originaly in brass changed for inox ones,three anchors- CQR, Brittany, bow anchor, etc…).
She is on ground in Port Napoléon (Port Saint Louis du Rhône, near Marseille).
