    Hello Everyone,

We have a Westerbeke 4-107 for sale with matching Paragon SA-1 transmission. We re-powered our CN 38 this year and these were pulled. We will consider selling separately but would prefer to sell together. There will be a listing on E-bay shortly which I will pass along. If anyone would like to make an offer in advance of the listing, we will wait to list. We are holding firm on $3500 for the pair and will negotiate on the separate items.

The transmission is the gem of the two. After 40 years it went out last year, and (before we decided to re-power) we had it rebuilt from the ground up. Not such a great idea for us, but hopefully it is just the thing some CN owner is looking for. It was rebuilt by the reputable American Transmissions in Annapolis, MD. They have all the records.

The engine has about 4000 hrs in its 40 year life. It was running well at the end, but we suspected the injector pump was going since it had a hard time holding an RPM. During our extensive re-fit this year we were persuaded to replace the whole setup with a Yanmar 4HJE. But that’s another story…

If anyone is interested in the engine and transmission or (one or the other) please contact me off-list. I would be glad to provide more details and send pictures. I would be glad to arrange shipping by truck for the buyer.

Thank you for indulging my offer.

    Hello,

I want to bring this to your attention one more time. I have been storing this engine in the garage for a year now. Can anyone use this combo or just the rebuilt trans? We will entertain any serious offer. Thank you.

    Charles
